Conservancy ProjectsFor a city in desert area,water resources are cr29、ucial for both oil production and living.Karamay is proud of its great water projects such as Baiyang-Karamay channel,Ayikule reservoir,and so on.These projects have supported Karamays economic bloom in recent years,and also made the city more attractive to working labours.For an ambitious new centu30、ry plan,more attention and efforts need to be paid on water,especially its efficiency.Searching for New EnergyThough Karamay is a city rich of natural resources,the people are fully aware of the limits of fossil fuels.Since the city is located in a windy and sunny area,development of wind energy and31、 solar energy,and other forms of sustainable energy has already started.Recently,Karamay became the first national experimental region of sustainability in the Xinjiang area.Facing such challenges and opportunities,we can forsee the vision of a low-carbon Karamay with more efficiency and profits in 32、its oil facilities fronting Yingbin Road this is just the beginning.The urban design vision for Karamay promotes city leaders forging new partnerships with leading energy based industries,specifically in
