The total planning area is around 450 km2, to the east of Yangtze 10、River, west of Wujiu Railway, south of Fuzi mountain, north of Huangjin mountain. Among that, the area on north lake bund is 150 km2 and the part on south lake bund is 220km2. The area within the lake blue line is 85 km2.most of the existing buildings are located in downtown Daye which is on north b11、und of the lake, the newly built Huangjin mountain Industrial Campus, and several towns around the lake. There are more villages on north bund. The main ridge refers to developing the city from Ci Lake area towards Daye Lake area, becoming a south north direction city developing ridge. The new and old city centers are all located on that ridge. Two wings refer to the w15、est Tieshan-Huandiqiao downtown area, and the east Lingang downtown area. The total population will reach 300 thousands and the total area will be 32.7km2 in 2020.Huangjinshan new Industrial District: a modern industrial base; a regional business cen18、ter; its a new waterfront residential area with pleasant environment and healthy ecological system. The total area is 50km2, while the population is 380 thousands. Wangren Cluster: a famous ecological tourism town, a cultural and educational center, a recreational center and an eco-residential clust19、er. The total area is 33 km2 while the population is 300 thousands. zhangshan Cluster: a new ecological and technical city which includes working, living, studying and recreational functions. The total area is 14 km2 while the population is 130 thousands. Huangshi new Harbor District: Its a transpor20、tation hub for cars, trains and boats; a logistics center serving the city cluster near Wuhan, and a transportation and logistics hub serving east Hubei, north Jiangxi and west Anhui. Shannan railway runs through the north bund area, while Wu23、jiu Diaqihua Railway runs from north to south. Planning:AroadlooparoundthelakeisconsistedofDaguang,Huangxian,andHuyu highway. The area within the loop is around 600km2 while the total highway length is 108km2. Shannan Railway may be moved to south. Wuhuang interurban railway and north Daye station c24、onstitute Yinjiahu Lake transportation hub. Daye 31、will transfer 150km2 area on south bund to Huangshi eco-nomic development district, including Jinshan agency and Wangren Town. This strategy ameliorates the issue that the city development is restricted by the limited space. wATER EDGE CONDITIONWATER RESOuRCES The Central Yangtze ecoregion is a complex landscape of low hills, vast alluvial plains, and numerous floodplain lakes. Subject to dramatic seasonal variations, these lakes, unal-tered, r49、ise and fall with the wet and dry monsoon seasons, resulting in an expansive littoral floodplain/wetland area. At the center of this region, Hubei province was once famed as the “province of thousand lakes.” However, it is estimated that its total lake area has decreased nearly 90% ov er the past ce50、ntury. Of the lakes which remain, only one lake met the Cat-egory II water quality standard in 2012.One of the more impacted lakes in the region, Daye Lake is estimated to be less than half the size today as it was over 50 years ago. Topographic and historical map analysis reveals that much of the h51、istoric lake and wetland area has been lost due to reclamation activity and conversion to agricultural lands.
