1、INTRODUCTIONEDAW is pleased to provide a Conceptual Master Plan for the Development of the New Town at Zhujiaojiao in Qingpu on behalf of CITIC Pacific China Holdings Limited.This conceptual master plan is intended to provide a clear framework for development and inspire innovative ideas for both CI2、TIC and the Qingpu authorities to guide the future growth of Qingpu.The EDAW design team,in collaboration with the project team at CITIC,seek creative and inspiring solutions that not only strengthen the existing historic and cultural identity of Zhujiajiao,but also re-defines and approximately 30 km from Shanghais City Center,and 40 km from Hongqiao Airport,Qingpu is readily accessible for both Shanghai residents and its visitors.With Dianshan Lake to the east,along with a rich n12、etwork of canals,the rapidly growing district of Qingpu offers a unique opportunity for development.Directly adjacent to the districts of Minhang Sports City,Songjiang University City,and Jiadings F1 City,Qingpu celebrates the cultural heritage of Zhujiajiaos historic canal town.It capitalizes on it13、s tourism value and draws both visitors from around the nation and abroad.Qingpu Highway connecting Qing16、pu to Shanghai on the south,the area is easily accessible and well positioned to be developed as a New Town for Qingpu.The project calls for a development strategy and framework that integrates the rich cultural heritage and historic urban fabric of the Zhujiajiao Canal Town with an environmentally 17、and economically sustainable new town development model suitable Zhujiajiao is characterized by three unique features:Zhujiajiao Water Town,The Waterways,and the Open Space.These three features not only help inform the development strategy of the entire New Plan is recommended to be adjusted in order to create a stronger and more suitable overall planning structure of the95、 entire New Town at Zhujiajiao.This proposal recommends the creation of a New
