I smoked with concentration and pleasure as I was sure that this would be my last cigarette. For a whole week I did not smoke at all and during this time, my wife suffered terribly. I had all the usual symptoms of someone givi11、ng up smoking: a bad temper and an enormous appetite. My friends kept on offering me cigarettes and cigars. They made no effort to hide their amusement whenever I produced a packet of sweets from my pocket. After seven days of this I went to a party. Lesson79 By air 乘飞机I used to travel by air a great deal when I was a boy. My parents, used to live in South America and I used to fly there from Europe in the holidays. After taking off, we were flying low over the city and slowly gaining height, when the plane suddenly turned round and flew back to the airport. (1)设立兽医室。兽医室职能包括：负责疫病动态监控，制定防疫计划和疫情处理设施；对于养殖小区兽医室进行业务指导；负责对引进种禽在隔离和检疫期间的检疫和处置。人员配置包括：高级兽医1名。设备仪器包括：实验室(20平方米)、酶联免疫检测仪(用于血清和药物残留检测)、PCR扩58、增仪(用于病原检测)、高效液相色谱仪(用于药物残留检测)、恒温培养箱、高压蒸汽消毒锅等。(2)建设一个隔离饲养场。隔离饲养场的职能包括：对外地引进的各类种禽进行隔离检疫；发生疫情时，用做隔离饲养场。隔离饲养的场址选择在核心野鸡养殖区的下风向区域，周围有较高的山丘作为天然屏障。 (三)防疫技术保障体系云龙县政府对动物疫病的防治工作给予了高度的重视，已投入大量的资金并配备了先进的仪器设备，提高了本地区对动物疫病快速诊断和监测能力。政府还下发文件明确规定各级政府对辖区内动物防疫工作负总责，行政首长为动物防疫工作第一责任人，分管领导防疫工作直接责任人。全县形成了以畜牧局为中心，以基层畜牧兽医为主体的技59、术服务和监督网络，动物疫病防治工作已步入科学化管理轨道。5.2 总体布置7.1.1项目构成项目有种禽舍、养殖舍、饲料加工厂房、生活用房、配套水电路等组成。7.1.2总体布置建筑设施按生活管理区、生产区和隔离区布置。各功能区界限分明，联系方便。生活区与产区间要设大门、消毒池和消毒室。生活管理区设在场区常年主导风向上风处及地势较高处，主要61、包括生活设施、办公设施及与外界接触密切的生产辅助设施，设主大门，并设消毒池。生产区主要包括育雏区、育成区和产蛋区，在不同区内建设育雏舍、育成舍和产蛋舍。各区间的距离在30米以上，各区内鸡舍间的距离以五个鸡舍高度计算。隔离区设在场区下风向处及地势较低处，主要包括兽医室、隔离鸡舍等。设后门，与污道相接。道路：与外界接触要有专门道路相通。场区内设净道和污道，两者严格分开，不得交叉、混用。净道路面宽度大于3.5米，转弯半径大于8米。场区绿化：场区绿化要结合区与区之间、舍与舍之间的距离、遮萌及防风等需要进行。可根据当地实际，种植能美化环境、净化空气的树种和花草，不宜种植有毒、飞絮的植物。表7-1 公用辅助工程7.3.1给水系统(1)水源。场区水源利用附近小河的地下溶洞水，其水质符合国家生活饮用水标准，满足场区内的生产、生活和消防用水。设水63、池200立方米一个。(2)用水量。日用水总量为98.63吨，其中生产水用量为90.95吨/日，生活用水量为7.68吨/日。7.3.2排水系统场区生产、生活、沐浴的污水与雨水的排除采用分流式。养鸡场产生的废水要经隔离池排入该场的处理池。生活污水和人粪尿经化粪池处理后排除场外，场区雨水采用沟排方式。7.3.3消防系统根据防火规范，消防用水量；养鸡场为20升/秒，室内为15升/秒。按照规范要求，除设置足够数量的消火栓外，还须设置1座蓄水池，容积均为600立方米（与生产生活水池共用），满足场区2小时的消防容量，在蓄水池上设有供消防取水用的取水口，池边设置泵接合器，方便消防由蓄水池内取水，直接向管网加压64、供水。7.3.4电气(1)电气系统主要包括：1)供电电源。该项目的供电电源由附近360伏高压线直接引入，距项目区200米。2)用电负荷。该项目用电负荷为60千瓦，其中照明容量为18千瓦，动力容量为42千瓦。3)负荷等级。该项目用电负荷等级均为3级负荷。4)变配电系统。该项目在饲料场建设变配电室1座。a.变配电室由10千伏和380/220伏母线均采用单母线，变压器采用室内高位布置。b.供电电源均为三相四线制380伏。设备电机容量小于10千瓦，采用全压直接启动。c.配线全部采用BV型铜芯导线。电缆穿镀锌管理埋地暗设，埋深0.5米。d.电器装置的外壳采用接零保护。各设备电机均安装接地线。5)照明。照65、明灯分节能日光灯。a.潮湿场所，采用防潮型荧光灯。b.浴室和淋浴间采用防水型灯具。c.设备间采用防爆灯具。d.办公室、生活用房照明采用日光灯。7.3.5供热项目区属非采暖地区，冬天不需要取暖。第八章 节水措施8.1 节水措施使用节水型设备、卫生洁具，减少用水量及加压能耗。做好用水设备的日常维护管理，防止跑、冒、滴、漏。绿地安装节水灌溉设备。科学、合理安装鸡舍内的自动饮水器。根据不同生长期的特点，合理调整饮水器的高度和流量。8.2 水耗指标分析日用水98.63m3。第九章 环境影响评价9.1 项目所在地环境现状项目建设地处*乡*村，四面环山，项目所在地为一不规则平坝。该址自然坡度约2.5-3度，66、利于污水和自然雨水的排放。该村以传统农业为主，自然生态良好。场址附近主要为农田，四周村民住户少，生产运作噪声影响面窄。生产过程中不添加任何有毒有害物质，污染程度较大的生产废水仅悬浮物含量较高，经污水处理站处理后可用于农田灌溉，不会对环境造成不良影响。9.2 项目产生的污染物对环境的影响(1)废水的主要来源：鸡舍清洗有一定的废水排放；(2)固体废弃物。本项目鸡舍固体废弃物，经过处理后可当作肥料使用。(3)噪声。本项目的噪声来源来自饲料加工。9.3 环境保护设施与投资本项目遵照国家环境保护法，本着“三废治理与建设工程三同时”的原则，对：“三废”采取必要的治理。1.噪声防治设计中采用隔离墙法来控制噪67、声，设备选用低噪声设备，并设置减振器，使车间噪声低于60分贝。2.废水该项目建成后，100%生产污水可通过水泵抽水，用于灌溉牧草。 3.鸡粪和鸡尿的处理建设集粪池对鸡粪、鸡尿分别处理，鸡粪可用于制造生物肥料，部分鸡粪晒干后用于种蘑菇及牧草地施肥，鸡尿通过建沼气池处理后，沼液自动灌溉牧草地。4.工作环境与生产厂区绿化为了保证鸡舍空气清洁，在设计中采用了合理通风系统。鸡场内种植花草、树木美化环境，建立优美洁净的工作环境。本项目环保投资约11.10万元。9.4 环境影响评价本项目不论是大气环境、水环境还是噪声环境，项目投产后对现有场址周围环境都不会造成不良影响，从环保角度来看，本项目是可行的。第十章68、 经营管理10.1 Macaroni has been grown in this area for over six hundred years. Two of the leading growers, Giuseppe Moldova and Ricardo Brabante, tell me that they have been expecting a splendid crop this year and harvesting has begun earlier than usual. Here you can99、 see two workers who, between them, have just finished cutting three cart-loads of golden brownmacaroni stalks. The whole village has been working day and night gathering and threshing this years crop before the September rains. On the right, you can see Mrs Brabante herself. She has been helping he100、r husband for thirty years now. Mrs Brabante is talking to the manager of the local factory where the crop is processed. This last scene shows you what will happen at the end of the harvest : the famous Calabrian macaroni-eating competition ! Signor Fratelli, the present champion, has won it every y101、ear since 1961. We are now returning you to the studio.Lesson77 A successful operation 一例成功的手术The mummy of an Egyptian woman who died in 800 B.C. has just had an operation. The mummy is that of Shepenmut who was once a singer in the 102、Temple of Thebes. As there were strange marks on the X-ray plates taken of the mummy, doctors have been trying to find out whether the woman died of a rare disease. The only way to do this was to operate. The operation, which lasted for over four hours, proved to be very difficult because of the har103、d resin which covered the skin. The doctors removed a section of the mummy and sent it to a laboratory. They also found something which the X-ray of the god Duamutef. This god which has the head of a cow was normally placedinside a mummy. The doctors have not yet decided how the woman died. They fea104、red that the mummy would fall to pieces when they cut it open, but fortunately this has not happened. The mummy successfully survived the operation. Lesson78 The last one? 最后一枝吗？After reading an article entitled Cigarette Smoking and Your Health I lit a cigarette to calm my nerves. I smoked with con105、centration and pleasure as I was sure that this would be my last cigarette. For a whole week I did not smoke at all and during this time, my wife suffered terribly. I had all the usual symptoms of someone giving up smoking: a bad temper and an enormous appetite. My friends kept on offering me cigare106、ttes and cigars. They made no effort to hide their amusement whenever I produced a packet of sweets from my pocket. After seven days of this I went to a party. Everybody around me was smoking and I felt extremely uncomfortable. When my old friend Brian urged me to accept a cigarette, it was more tha107、n I could bear. I took one guiltily, lit it and smoked with satisfaction. My wife was delighted that things had returned to normal once more. Anyway, as Brian pointed out, it is the easiest thing in the world to give up smoking. He himself has done it lots of times! Lesson79 By air 乘飞机I used to trav108、el by air a great deal when I was a boy. My parents, used to live in South America and I used to fly there from Europe in the holidays. An airhostess would take charge of me and I never had an unpleasant experience. I am used to travelling by air and only on one occasion have I ever felt frightened.109、 After taking off, we were flying low over the city and slowly gaining height, when the plane suddenly turned round and flew back to the airport. While we were waiting to land, an air-hostess told us to keep calm and to get off the plane quietly as soon as it had touched down. Everybody on board was110、 worried and we were curious to find out what had happened. Later we learnt that there was a very important person on board. The police had been told that a bomb had been planted on the plane. After we had landed, the plane was searched thoroughly. Fortunately, nothing was found and five hours later111、 we were able to take off again.Lesson80 The Crystal Palace 水晶宫Perhaps the most extraordinary building of the nineteenth century was the Crystal Palace, which was built in Hyde Park for the Great Exhibition of 1851. The Crystal Palace was different from all other buildings in the world, for it was m112、ade of iron and glass. It was one of the biggest buildings of all time and a lot of people from many countries came to see it. A great many goods were sent to the exhibition from various parts of the world. There was also a great deal of machinery on display. The most wonderful piece of machinery on113、 show was Nasmyths steam hammer. Though in those days, travelling was not as easy as it is today, steam boats carried thousands of visitors across the Channel from Europe. On arriving in England, they were taken to the Crystal Palace by train. There were six million visitors in all, and the profits 114、from the exhibition were used to build museums and colleges. Later, the Crystal Palace was moved to South London. It remained one of the most famous buildings in the world until it was burnt down in 1936.Lesson81 Escape 脱逃When he had killed the guard, the prisoner of war quickly dragged him into the115、 bushes. Working rapidly in the darkness, he soon changed into the dead mans clothes. Now, dressed in a blue uniform and with a rifle over his shoulder, the prisoner marched boldly up and down in front of the camp. He could hear shouting in the camp itself. Lights were blazing and men were running h116、ere and there: they had just discovered that a prisoner had escaped. At that moment, a large black car with four officers inside it, stopped at the camp gates. The officers got out and the prisoner stood to attention and saluted as they passed. When they had gone, the driver of the car came towards 117、him. The man obviously wanted to talk. He was rather elderly with grey hair and clear blue eyes. The prisoner felt sorry for him, but there was nothing else he could do. As the man came near, the prisoner knocked him to the ground with a sharp blow. Then, jumping into the car, he drove off as quickl118、y as he could. Lesson82 Monster or fish? 是妖还是鱼？Fishermen and sailors sometimes claim to have seen monsters in the sea. Though people have often laughed at stories told by seamen, it is now known that many of these monsters which have at times been sighted are simply strange fish. Occasionally, unusu119、al creatures are washed to the shore, but they are rarely caught out at sea. Some time ago, however, a peculiar fish was caught near Madagascar. A small fishing-boat was carried miles out to sea by the powerful fish as it pulled on the line. Realizing that this was no ordinary fish, the fisherman ma120、de every effort not to damage it in any way. When it was eventually brought to shore, it was found to be over thirteen feet long. It had a head like a horse, big blue eyes, shining silver skin, and a bright red tail, The fish, which has since been sent to a museum where it is being examined by a sci121、entist, is called an oarfish. Such creatures have rarely been seen alive by man as they live at a depth of six hundred feet.Lesson83 After the elections 大选之后The former Prime Minister, Mr Wentworth Lane, was defeated in the recent elections. He is now retiring from political life and has gone abroad.122、 My friend, Crawley, has always been a fanatical opponent of Mr Lanes Radical Progressive Party. After the elections, Crawley went to the former Prime Ministers house. When he asked if Mr Lane lived there, the policeman on duty told him that since his defeat, the ex-Prime Minister had gone abroad. O123、n the following day, Crawley went to the house again. The same policeman was just walking slowly past the entrance, when Crawley asked the same question. Though a little suspicious this time, the policeman gave him the same answer. The day after, Crawley went to the house once more and asked exactly124、 the same question. This time, the policeman lost his temper. I told you yesterday and the day before yesterday, he shouted, Mr Lane was defeated in the elections. He has retired from political life and gone to live abroad ! I know, answered Crawley, but I love to hear you say it ! Lesson84 On strik125、e 罢工Busmen have decided to go on strike next week. The strike is due to begin on Tuesday. No one knows how long it will last. The busmen have stated that the strike will continue until general agreement is reached about pay and working conditions. Most people believe that the strike will last for at126、 least a week. Many owners of private cars are going to offer free rides to people on their way to work. This will relieve pressure on the trains to some extent. Meanwhile, a number of university students have volunteered to drive buses while the strike lasts. All the young men are expert drivers, b127、ut before they drive any of the buses, they will have to pass a special test. The students are going to take the test in two days time. Even so, people are going to find it difficult to get to work. But so far, the public has expressed its gratitude to the students in letters to the Press. Only one 128、or two people have objected that the students will drive too fast!Lesson85 Never too old to learn 活到老学到老I have just received a letter from my old school informing me that my former head- master, Mr Regmald Page, will be retiring next week. Pupils of the school, old and new, will be sending him a pre129、sent to mark the occasion. All those who have contributed towards the gift will sign their names in a large album which will be sent to the headmasters home. We shall all remember Mr Page for his patience and understanding and for the kindly encouragement he gave us when we went so unwillingly to sc130、hool. A great many former pupils will be attending a farewell dinner in his honour next Thursday. It is a curious coincidence that the day before his retirement, Mr Page will have been teaching for a total of forty years. After he has retired, he will devote himself to gardening. For him, this will 131、be an entirely new hobby. But this does not matter, for, as he has often remarked, one is never too old to learn. Lesson86 Out of control 失控As the man tried to swing the speed-boat round, the steering-wheel came away in his hands.
